In most cases I should say yes and I agree with the reasons described in that article where you refer to. Nowadays everyone need a credit card and it is best that teenagers are educated very well how to use it and the consequences by using credit cards. They need to know that they limit the amount they expend with a credit card because otherwise your account will quickly be empty.

I agree, Popeye. If teens are given direction with credit cards, they can learn how to use them wisely at an early age and build a credit history. This could prevent major problems later on. But, there has to be guidance and boundaries.
